Warranty Policy

The Limited Warranty for the United States of America (including its territories) and Canada issued by Chervon North America, Inc. for its EGO outdoor power equipment, portable power, batteries, and chargers is outlined in the chart below.

EGO products are warranted to the original purchaser in the United States (including its territories) and Canada against defects in material or workmanship from the date of original retail purchase or date of delivery (if later than the date of purchase) for the applicable warranty period set forth in the chart above. Lifetime is defined for as long as the original purchaser owns the product. Defective product will receive free repair or replacement.

1. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser when purchased from an authorized EGO retailer and may not be transferred unless otherwise prohibited by law (which may include the Province of Quebec). Please save your original dated receipt or complete the product registration form to ensure you have a record of when and where the product was purchased.
2. Because EGO cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, EGO reserves the right to reject warranty claims for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized internet sites, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Authorized EGO retailers are identified online at https://egopowerplus.com/store-locator. If you have any questions about whether a retailer is authorized, contact us toll-free at 1-855-346-5656.
3. This warranty is void if the product has been used for rental purposes.
4. This warranty does not cover the damage resulting from modification, alteration, or unauthorized repair.
5. This warranty only covers defects arising under normal usage and does not cover any malfunction, failure, or defect resulting from misuse, abuse (including overloading of the product beyond capacity and contact with or immersion in water or other liquid), accidents, neglect or lack of proper installation, failure to properly service or maintain the product, negligence, improper maintenance or storage (outside EGO’s instructions, specifications, or guidelines), fire, earthquake, or other external causes.
6. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, normal aging of the product, or normal deterioration of the exterior finish (i.e., cosmetic damage), including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, paint chips, or to any corrosion or discoloring by heat, abrasive and chemical cleaners.

Warranty service must be requested within the applicable warranty period. Please contact EGO customer service toll-free at 1-855-346-5656. Please be prepared to describe the alleged defect and provide the original dated sales receipt. Provided the warranty claim is preliminarily approved, an authorized service center may then be selected to evaluate and repair the product according to the stated warranty terms. When bringing your product to the authorized service center, there may be a small deposit that will be required when dropping off your tool. This deposit is refundable when the repair service is deemed to be covered under warranty. If the product is deemed not to be covered under the warranty, the purchaser will be refunded the deposit and may have the option to separately pay for repair services. The purchaser is responsible for transportation of the product (including any attachments) at their expense to and from the authorized service center.

There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein. THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE, WHICH ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Any oral or written description of the products is for the sole purpose of identifying the products and shall not be construed as an express warranty. The sole and exclusive remedy in connection with the purchase, installation, use, and/or performance of the EGO products is repair or replacement of the product as determined by Chervon North America, Inc. Chervon North America, Inc.’s maximum liability shall not in any case exceed the purchase price paid for the product. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL CHERVON NORTH AMERICA, INC. BE LIABLE TO THE USER OR TO ANYONE ELSE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, INDIRECT, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES BASED UPON BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR STRICT LIABILITY ARISING FROM USE OF THE PRODUCTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOST PROFITS, OR OTHER ECONOMIC INJURY. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State and jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Some States or jurisdictions (which may include the Province of Quebec) do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by such laws, it shall be null and void, but the remainder of the warranty shall remain in effect. The disclaimers, exclusions, and limitations of liability under this warranty shall not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law (which may include the Province of Quebec).

This warranty is subject to and shall be interpreted according to Michigan law without regard to principles of conflicts of laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no legal action shall be brought against Chervon North America, Inc. unless filed within one (1) year after the basis for such legal action becomes known, or with the exercise of reasonable diligence should have become known. Any action not timely filed shall be deemed waived.

This warranty supersedes all warranty statements found in product manuals or other printed materials.
