The EGO 56V 4.0Ah ARC Lithium™ Battery uses industry-leading technology to deliver Power Beyond Belief™. Its patented ARC Lithium™ design keeps the battery from overheating by pushing heat away so your equipment runs longer at full power. Its durable, shock-resistant design protects batteries from drops and the elements. Intelligent power management monitors and optimizes each individual battery cell to maximize power, performance, and runtime. This 4.0Ah battery features a fuel gauge with built-in indicator lights that show how much runtime is remaining in 20 percent increments. The 4.0Ah battery fully charges in 30 minutes with the EGO POWER+ Turbo Charger (CH7000), 30 minutes with the Rapid Charger (CH5500), 55 minutes with the 320W Charger (CH3200), and 80 minutes with the Standard Charger (CH2100). Two 4.0Ah batteries will fully charge in 60 minutes with the EGO Power+ Dual-Port Charger (CH2800D). With the industry’s most advanced battery technology, every EGO tool delivers or exceeds the power and performance of gas without the noise, fuss, or fumes.

All EGO chargers charge all EGO batteries. The rapid charger will charge any EGO battery faster than the standard charger but all chargers work interchangeably.
Yes. Thanks to advances in battery technology, it is now possible to achieve gas-matching power — without the noise, fuss or fumes.
Power is measured in Watts and that is calculated by Voltage x Current. In addition, to calculate how long that power can be delivered, use Voltage x Capacity (Ah) = Energy (Wh)
When battery cells are connected end-to-end in a single row they are in ‘SERIES’. When more than one row is combined, the rows of battery cells are connected in ‘PARALLEL’. Arranging enough cells together in series delivers the required voltage (V). Adding an identical number of cells in parallel delivers more capacity and higher power (W).
We only use high quality cells from premium manufacturers. We test and select every single cell before they’re used in the EGO Power+ 56V ARC Lithium™ battery.
The cells are continuously controlled by software and microprocessors within the battery and by our tools’ intelligent power management systems.
Three ways. Our unique Arc design maximizes surface area, so heat dissipates more effectively, every cell is surrounded by our unique Keep Cool™ phase change material (PCM) keeps individual cells at their optimum temperature for longer, and the battery software monitors the heath of each battery.

Yes. All EGO batteries are IPx4 rated. This means they have been proven to be safe for use after splashing with water (equivalent to light rain).
Batteries that have been exposed to water for longer than recommended should be returned to EGO dealers for inspection. Please call our customer service team if you have any concerns about wet or damaged batteries.
Due to their high capacity, all EGO batteries can be stored unattended for a minimum of 10 years without damaging capacity and cycle performance. After 30 days batteries discharge to 30% capacity (to ensure longevity).
